Q: How do I let my property with the help of rentfromtheowner?
A: Simply follow these steps:
1. Choose your letting package, make payment and create your advert. This is very quick and easy and can be saved and edited before posting ‘live’ on our website.
2. Arrange an Energy Performance Certificate and Gas Safety Certificate for your rental property (legally required)
3. Show your property to prospective tenants
4. Agree a weekly/monthly rental price and deposit amount directly with prospective tenants
5.Take agreed deposit from Tenants (this must be covered by an agreed deposit protection scheme click here for more information)
6. Credit check and obtain references for your prospective tenants (see Tenant reference and credit checks)
7. Issue tenancy agreement, inventory and standing order form to tenants for signatures (see Landlord Document Kit)
8. Check in your tenants and agree inventory.
Q: Why do you ask if we will allow tenants on housing benefit? Y/N
A: As well as being uploaded to all of our usual partner websites, all properties which allow DSS tenants are uploaded to websites which specifically advertise DSS properties only.
Q: Can I get a ‘To Let’ board?
A: You can order a high-quality, custom made ‘rentfromtheowner’ board from £39 inc VAT printed with contact details of rentfromtheowner.co.uk. The board is still an integral part of the property letting process and offers a way to address the local and non-internet market. Customers are given the option of ordering a board when they set up their letting with us. These boards can be ordered with any of our package options and can be delivered for you to install or installed for you by our national team. Click here to view a To Let board. Q: Can I get Landlord documents like a tenancy agreement, inventory etc?
A: Yes you can! We offer a Professional Landlord Document Kit for just £15 inc VAT. Like everything at rentfromtheowner, every document is simple, clear and highly professional.
Q: Can I get rentfromtheowner to write my property advert?
A: We can write your advert for you for an additional £45 inc VAT. All you need to do is email 6 good photos of the property, plus an accurate description and other details including rental amount per week, full property address, the advertising package you want and your contact details to us here. We will email you your advert for approval before posting
Q: Will my personal details be safe?
A: rentfromtheowner uses the latest servers, with advanced intrusion protections systems. All payments are made through Paypal, either through a Paypal account or through Paypals facilities for taking debit and credit card payments, so all transactions are completely safe and secure.
