3. Agree a weekly rental price directly with prospective tenants
4. Credit check your prospective tenants
5. Issue tenancy agreement, inventory and standing order form to tenants for signatures
6. Check in your tenants and agree home condition.
Q Can I get a ‘To Let’ board?
A You can order a high-quality, custom made ‘Rentfromtheowner.co.uk’ board for the cost of £45 (including VAT). The board is still an integral part of the property letting process and offers a way to address the local and non-internet market. Customers are given the option of ordering a board when they set up their advert with us. These boards can be ordered with either of our two package options. Click here to view an example To Let board. You can reuse these boards as many times as you like - so long as your phone number does not change.
Q Can I get Landlord documents like a tenancy agreement, inventory etc?
A Yes you can! We offer a Basic Landlord Kit for just £19 (including VAT) or a Professional Landlord Kit for £34 (including VAT). Like everything at Rentfromtheowner.co.uk, every document is simple, clear and highly professional.
Q How do I value my property?
A We recommend researching the advertised rental prices for other similar properties in the area as a good way to measure the approximate rental value of your property. Of course, it is entirely up to you how much you market your property for - although in the interests of letting your property, it is imperative that you value your property realistically. We carefully verify property rental values and we will advise you if yours is outside of the typical range. If you buy our Premier advertising package, we will provide you with a professional valuation.
Q Can I upgrade from Standard to Premier once I have placed my advert?
A You can. Just login to your account and click on the 'Upgrade' link next to your advert summary. The upgrade cost is £140 (including VAT).
Q Can I get Rentfromtheowner.co.uk to write my property advert?
A We can write your advert for you for an additional £50 (including VAT). All you need to do is email 6 good photos of the property, plus an accurate description and other details including rental amount per week, full property address, the advertising package you want and your contact details to info@rentfromtheowner.co.uk. Please post us a cheque for the price of the advertising package plus £50 for writing the advert. Your advert will be placed upon receipt of the cheque.
Q Will my personal details be safe?
A Rentfromtheowner.co.uk uses the latest servers, with advanced intrusion protections systems. Our payment systems utilise world-class encryption techniques and card details are stored on secure servers that are inaccessible by the internet.
Q Is there any discount for listing more than one property at the same time?
A Yes. Multiple listings from 2 – 5 attract a discount of 15% off the advertised price. 6 – 10 attract a discount of 20% and 11-25 listings attract a discount of 30%. 26+ listings attract a discount of 40%. Discounts are made against the total amount spent. To claim your discount, please email us. Discount monies will be sent to you promptly by cheque once payment for advertising has cleared.
